Hardscape construction

This is full-scope hardscape work — patios, retaining and seat walls, walkways, steps, fire features, and stonework built together as one project instead of piecemeal add-ons over several years.

It's the right fit when you're rebuilding a backyard from the ground up, or when your project genuinely spans multiple categories (a patio that needs a retaining wall, that needs a walkway tying it back to the house).

On a multi-element project, sequencing is everything: grading and drainage get solved for the whole site first, then anything structural — retaining wall footings, steps, wall construction — gets built next since everything else keys off those elevations, then patios and walkways go in once the structural work is set, and finish work (lighting, planting, sod) happens last. Building it out of order is how a beautiful patio ends up draining toward a wall that was built without accounting for it, or a walkway that meets a step at the wrong elevation because the wall shifted the grade after the fact.

Building it all under one plan means grading, drainage, and elevations are coordinated across every element instead of each piece being designed in isolation and fighting each other later.

This is the kind of project where the owner being personally involved matters most — sequencing multiple hardscape elements correctly takes real judgment on site, not just a set of drawings.
